you have to somehow reduce all that one thing combined with needed elements. So if you write out the melody, bass and rhythm. if your fingers are playing the melody in a nice fashion that may dictate just how easily you might be able to play the bass an rhythm. but you will need to be more specific in how the melody goes as it is usually already defined and if you hide it too deeply people simply won't hear it. You will probably find that you can pretty much just randomly pluck strings and the bass and rhythm going. then continue filling the rhythm part and how the melody needs to lead to the next G chord. so your next move might be to get that F bass and melody note. the f note which would be incorporated in the F chord. Now we add a little more melody and you notice it follows the c c c e and what would come next. Also our highest note has been the correct melody note of c. so, so far we have laid the bass down and we have basically strummed. Then a chord with 4 in the bass and it is pulled off while that chord sustains. Ok, now each chord get's one bar and you really can't change that so your finger picking has to incorporate the bass, the rhythm and the melody into the same place you would normally just strum up and down. Ok, now what might he bass be doing? Maybe they just play root note or Root 4 or Root 5 for each chord. So you can play that by itself and it sounds nice too. Now let's say your melody is the notes c c c e f f a g g. Now you can play that but it sounds pretty generic. Let's say your song has the chord progression C F G
